My Ultimate Reset Journey and RESULTS!

So, I completed Beachbody's 21 Day Cleanse the Ultimate Reset last week and its taken me a week to get my thoughts together to share.

I took my before (aka GOODBYE ;)) pics on Day 1 and my after pic the day after I completed the program which was last Monday!! Ive had so many people reaching out wanting to see my results which I LOVED and even caved and private messaged a few! Thank you for all the messages and comments asking to see! I wasn't holding out, just processing my thoughts and gearing up for my transition plan. :) 

Ultimate Reset

Ive had the tendency to overcomplicate living a healthy/balanced lifestyle in the past. I seem to be an all or nothing type when it comes to diet and exercise and I really want to change that this year. I want to be freed of the stress I bring to it and naturally live an 80/20 or even a 90/10 lifestyle. So 80-90% of the foods I eat I want to be clean, wholesome, FUEL for my body and I even want to keep it more on the vegetarian side.

That's what I LOVE about the Reset. It truly does reset your body and your tastebuds!! (side note : my FIL is in town this weekend and I bought Oreos as a treat and as they were eating them last night after dinner I had some sliced strawberries and blackberries with a little bit of maple syrup for my treat and it was amazing! Thats not to say ill never eat an Oreo again though!! :))


I realized on that last week and a half of the Reset that I truly love eating a mostly vegan/raw diet. The foods are amazing and better yet, I FEEL AMAZING. When I completed the program we went for tacos and I got the same ones I always get that have ~ steak, diced red onions, cilantro on a corn tortilla and the steak tasted a little weird to me. Almost gross. Don't get me wrong, I love a good steak or hamburger here and there but i'll be saving those for days that my body is truly craving red meat. I want to start listening to my body and how I feel and eating based off that vs. a clock/schedule/boredom or even routine.

So lets talk about my RESULTS shall we?! :))

The pic on the left is actually hard for me to look at. Not for any other reason than I know where I was in my head space that day. I had spent most of November and December of 2016 just sort of eating what ever I wanted. Not taking care of myself and allowing negative self talk to come in. I think we all know by now that we have to protect our mindsets!! And its as simple as this ~ you hear the negative thought rambling around and you TAKE IT CAPTIVE and give it to God! Ask him to protect your thought life and your mind. Its a process and takes a little time to start recognizing it when its happening but the more you do it the better your thought life gets and the better your LIFE gets!

So back to my before pic ~ I had gained about 15 lbs through the holidays and end of 2016. I showed my 13yr old son this pic and he said "I dont even remember you looking like that" Well, son we have ways of hiding. Sad but true and I dont want to HIDE ever again. I want to LIVE!! Fearless and Free! Or I should say Free&Fit! :)) 

I had done the Ultimate Reset before and gotten amazing results so I knew the NEW YEAR would be the PERFECT time to start FRESH! Even though in that pic I had a pretty bad back injury I wasn't letting anything get in my way of starting. I set up my tripod and snapped the pics and walked away. I knew it was just my STARTING POINT and I wasnt gonna overanalyze or dwell on them! I also had to have my husband drive me to the grocery store and I used one of those electric carts to go shopping for the foods. I couldnt drive or walk but I could sit very uncomfortably and but what I needed for week one!! :) 

Now the pic on the right is the day after completing!! I felt and still do feel incredible! I lost 9.5 lbs which is so great but honestly, the shift in how I think about foods, my inner dialogue and my sleep patterns are all the BEST results!! Ive never had issues sleeping or at least I didn't think i did until I started waking up feeling REFRESHED. This whole week post Reset I've been getting up at 5am to start my day before my hubby and kids and its been easy! I do go to bed around 9:30 but I've sort of always been an "early to bed early to rise" person. My clothes are fitting so much better again! I feel HAPPY // ALIVE // ENERGIZED from the inside out!!
